If your RPL application is successful for one or more units, you may be able to reduce the study required to reach successful completion of the qualification. This can be particularly valuable for students who have been working in an informal care role and want to formalise their skills with a nationally recognised aged care courses credential. RPL does not replace the mandatory work placement requirement, however. Every student must complete 120 hours of supervised placement in a real aged care facility or disability support organisation regardless of RPL status.
